Contemporary art

Contemporary art, what is it?

Looking in the Petit Larousse, we can read:
Art is "the expression of an ideal of beauty in human works"
Contemporary "which is of the present time: contemporary issues"

This is what is officially said.
Is Suprarealism a contemporary art ?
The answer is: YES, it is an art, a great art that expresses a new beauty, that of moods.
It is contemporary, because it externalizes the problems of our society, it is of the current time.
It sensitizes the intention in the search for an interiorized, in the discovery of the meaning of life.

Humanity is in danger. For its survival, we need a new way of thinking and living. It's urgent !
We need to be aware of the well-known problems.
Thanks to contemporary art, there is still time to act.
Art and culture are part of the evolution of humanity.
Individuals today seem limited in their circle of unconscious self-centeredness.
Yet the complete psyche of man is supported by his consciousness.
Today, we must act with conscious responsibility, starting from the deep nature of the human being, and from his moods. We have to change our way of life.
It is mandatory. We do not have the choice.
Today, suprarealism is the contemporary art of our time, at the time of planetary problems,
because art is the only way to touch the bottom of the soul.
Contemporary art should be understood and loved.

Is suprarealism an art of the past ?

There is an important difference between the art of the Great Masters of the past and suprarealism which is a contemporary art.

The inspiration of works from the past is quite different from contemporary art. However, the suprarealism of contemporary art does not break the umbilical cord with the essence of art which has always been the search for aesthetic beauty.
The old works represent scenes from life, with the corresponding surroundings (landscapes, interiors of churches, dwellings, etc.)
These are representative works.

In contrast, the suprarealism of contemporary art ignores the representation and action of the subject.
Moods are expressed in an abstract atmosphere, from which cascading creatures (invisible from afar) emerge.
It is the art in outside of time and space is dilated.
It is timeless art, where space molds shapes in three dimensions.
It aims to stimulate conscious feelings. Everyone receives an immaterial flash that triggers their personal reaction. It is different from person to person.

Ancient painting finds its sources in the Bible, mythology, or wars.
Military performances brought glory and the chance to rise in a society.

Religion also represented a rising ladder to a glorious career.
Anecdotal works where there was a story to tell in pictures also existed.
The photograph was not discovered yet. The paintings of painters replaced it advantageously.
Major events like the coronation represented monumental works.
The play of light concentrated in the center gave a theatrical aspect to the scene.

Family portraits were very fashionable. The models posed on a support in the shape of a horse's back. The horse was added later.
Single or grouped portraits were very popular.
Sumptuous still lifes spread out on the canvases.
The hunting scenes highlighted the animals and the hunters.
Finally, the romantic landscapes enchanted the public.
The sfumato technique rendered the depth of the hazy planes.
Romanticism completes this gallery, thanks to the works of great masters.

Misery and poverty had an important place in 19th century art.

The feminine beauty and charm of the nudes, the scenes of parties and dances, the presentations
of visions of hell and paradise etc. existed alongside realistic works.
The Saints and the Angels hovered on the small misty clouds.

This is a very simplified image of our artistic heritage. Art has always been contemporary with its time.
This is completely normal, because culture expresses the socialo-moral tendencies of life, its ideological inspirations,
in symbiosis with the conditions of the existence of individuals.
The 20th century broke this natural alliance.
Compared to the art of the past, the Suprarealism of contemporary art is an art in a different way.
It is contemporary art that gets rid of the content of any narration. Everything springs from within. The view expands in time, time is stretched.
The pictorial work becomes a musical work where it lasts over time. Suprarealist contemporary art is durable over time.
It is not ephemeral or disposable. We do not contemplate it in one time and in two dimensions (length and height),
but we travel inside it in the exploit of the string of strange creatures.
Their eyes invite whoever has the opportunity to get closer to explore the spaces in length, height and depth.
Sometimes abstract forms reinforce the stretch in the invisible world, that of our conscious and unconscious united in magical synchronicities.

In the suprarealist works of contemporary art,
the real must be the extreme point of the union between the spectator and the work.
This union is deeper than that of life. The eyes are the mirror of the soul. Through them, souls meet, intertwine, complement each other.
Everyone can find their complement, their soul mate.

Empathy is the future of humanity. Ten billion egocentric and selfish people cannot live together on earth. The future is for transconsciousness.
Artificial intelligence can bring about changes in living conditions, but it can never replace humans.
Suprarealism is the contemporary art of the 21st century.

Contemporary art must be supported by the evolution of science.

A new scientific model will provide opportunities to unravel paradoxes and build science based on observations of quantum reality.
Science, as well as contemporary art must be understood, as they represent cultural life.
Many people claim that they do not understand contemporary art and completely abandon modern science.
To love them, you have to start by understanding them. To understand them, starting with art, it must have a language capable of speaking to their hearts.
When it comes to science, theories and conclusions must follow a logical thread, proven by what we already know.

Suprarealism is the contemporary art of a total new paradigm (regarding all arts, science and philosophy).

Contemporary art must accompany everyone on the path of change, thanks to Suprarealism.
It is the art of freedom of expression through creative imagination.
It is the art of new aesthetic values, where the beauty of the depths of our consciousness has its legitimate place.
